SIMON:
I started off in the 80's decorating for large
companies usually on large scale projects such as public buildings. After
an apprentice stage I started to find my own clients and began decorating
private homes. Attention to detail, honesty and hard work is important to
me and I have built my reputation on it. After
a few years I began to pick up new skills the first being wood stripping.
This involved stripping away layers of paint to reveal a clean layer of wood which I would then wax to leave a natural looking finish, sometimes to compliment a room I was decorating or sometimes stripping the internal joinery in a room someone else was going to decorate. This gave me a taste of things to come, and in the mid 90's I started sanding my first floors. I was hooked from day one and still am, I never tire of breathing new life into old floors be it floorboards, parquet wood block it doesn't matter, they all look great if sanded correctly. For the last 7 years I have been constantly sanding wooden floors in the London area quietly building a reputation for honest quality work. Its hard noisy work but very rewarding. Take a look at the gallery to view some of my work. Gallery
